Anemone compatibility

So I have a 29g reef tank, and I have a rose bubble tip anemone in there. If I get more bubble tip anemones (like green or rainbow) or even a different rose bubble tip, will the anemones have a warfare? If so is it enough to effect my tank? Thanks

You will be fine with two ‘different’ roses or GBTA. A Rose bubble tip is a rose bubble tip (Entamacea Quadricolour), no matter what silly name it has been given by a shop or breeder in order to get you to part with more money than it’s worth.

Unfortunately the answer isn't really that straight forward. There are many who mix different types of bta's without issue, but there are also many others who mix them and end up losing some. No one really knows what causes it, but generally speaking you don't want to mix wild caught and aquacultured, and there are some potential issues mixing certain other strains.

I personally have rainbows and greens together without issue. If you are going to try it, I would recommend starting them out on different sides of the tank if possible and have carbon on hand to run if anything starts reacting negatively.

That's great to know, never knew some BTAs would have compatibility issues, always thought that it would be okay to mix and match, thanks!
