So I had a BTA die in my tank. I was able to remove him after being dead for about a day. Unfortunately, I was unable to do a water change and wont be able to until tomorrow night.

Has anyone had an anemone die in their tank (not by a powerhead)? If so, how did it affect your corals?

I have an oversized skimmer and carbon currently running. I'm just concerned because I saw a few zoas closed up, but everything else seemed fine (euphyllia, acans, and some sps).

Thanks in advance!

I think it’s more important to find out why your nem died. Then go from there.

I’d do a water change ASAP. But if you can’t carbon is good until you do.

hmm... well I set up a nano tank to house all my nems. Unfortunately, the pump I chose for the setup kept failing. I would clean the pump and eventually replaced it. Soon enough that pump failed and I'd wake up to a stagnant tank. Wventually the nems couldn't handle the swings and in an attempt to try the save the nems, I put them back into my main tank. Unfortunately, a couple nems couldn't handle the change and in a few days passed away.

I had a blue stictodactlya carpet nem kick the bucket in a tank at a shop I worked at, sat for a day, despite turning off the pumps and removing it gently, tentacles and nematocysts went everywhere, the underside of my forearm had small welts on it by the end of the day, coral in the tank was definitely aggravated enough to where we transferred what we could to a different system.
tank took a few days to recover fully.

If you were able to remove all of it before it disintegrated, then you should be ok. It may have given the tank a small, temporary ammonia spike. The most important sign is that most of the corals look good.
