I got an anemone in the mail yesterday. It’s doing great but I was wandering when to feed it. Can it eat small fish fry or feeder minnows? I’m aware they like mysis so that’s what I’ll do on. A regular basis but was curious so it can have a varied diet.

Give yours a few weeks to settle in before you feed it. And they really don't NEED to be fed, I feed my BTA about once a month. If I remember to feed it hahaha You'll get a lot of differing opinions about feeding them

Let it settle in for a bit. It's going to move around in the tank before it finds its home (well, its home until it decides to move again). Like stated above, no need to feed.
I have a giant 10+" carpet nem that I feed every 2-3 weeks. I give it 3-4 krill, which it immediately consumes. Then every few months it poops out a GIANT ball of waste.

Feeding smaller anemones like BTAs large meals like silversides or whole shrimp/krill is a bad idea. I read a study on the gut contents of wild anemones, and while they had all kinds of things in their guts (from plankton to pieces of bird to bits of insects), the vast majority were very small, planktonic sized bits. The same study also found that larger meals actually cost the anemone resources in that it expended more calories to digest the meal than it got from the meal. I will try to find the study and link it (it was a few years ago that I read it).
