Anemone guard slows flow on wavemaker

Hi all i have a aqamai kps wavemaker for fluval flex 32.5. I put a anemone gaurd on it and it slows the flow of it. I dont have a anemone in the tank right now but want one soon. How can i increase the flow enough to keep the guard on ?

Just my 2 cents but every guard I have tested just buys you time but is not truly anemone-proof. Any restriction to intake is going to reduce flow. Easiest way around that is to just size up your pumps.
