Hi there, so I need some advice about my anemone guards please. We got an anemone a week ago and it settled really quickly on the rocks and seemed happy. We had the anemone guards in place before hand so thought all was good.
Last night the anemone started moving around but was still securely attached to the rock so wasn't concerned.
But this morning we got up to find him inside the guard at the back of the wavemaker behind the fans. We were far too late and it was destroyed by the fans.
The only thing I can think of is that it got pulled through the holes of the guard, but obviously I don't know for sure as I didn't see it. But it's the only way I can think of. I had the idea of tightly fixing some fine mesh netting around the outside of the guard to hopefully stop it getting pulled through these holes. Would that work or any other suggestions? As we want to try another one but obviously don't want it to suffer the same fate. Can provide pic of the wavemakers with the guard if it will help.
Really gutted as anemone was puffed out beautifully. Thanks so much in advance
