Anemone hanging on for dear life!!!

I got a new anemone that has been wondering around the tank. It was beer some rocks but it is now out walking around. I just saw it on the others side of the tank and the wave maker was still blasting it and it was barely hanging on. I turn my wave maker off and left my return on. I was going to leave it off all night but what if I have more problems with it tomorrow and I am not home to check on it. Will it get attached to a better spot soon ?

I order a nem guard tester day and should be hear later this week. Should I leave my wave maker off until I get that? Within other corals be ok with that?

Anemones move around but if frequently or high level as with yours, may be seeking more light. If light is dim they climb or shrivel. If too much light - they hide.
Too much flow and they move from flow or hide. Too little and they climb towards flow or in area of higher current.

Ok. I turned the flow off do you think I should turn it back on? I just don’t want it to go flying around the tank.

Yes you can leave it off for awhile it will help it settle down.

Ok. I turned the flow off do you think I should turn it back on? I just don’t want it to go flying around the tank.

Ok I think I will turn it back on tomorrow. If you don’t mind me asking do you have any tips for anemones? I have a rose bubble tip nem.

They are sensitive to changes in water chemistry - Keep tank stable. Feed them chopped krill or mysis shrimp 2-3x a week They are one of the best choices in anemone ownership. They split occasionally in which one day , you will see two of them - Very normal.

Ok well good thing is I keep water stable. I am already testing. Can I feed them reef roids? How often do they split? Once a week?

They’re not big on roids as it’s powdery and the amount needed to satisfy them Will quickly increase your phosphate level

No they don’t split weekly, at that rate, you’d have 512 after 10 weeks. Usually they split every 3-6 months.
