I just picked up a 29g bio cube. What I thought was going to be an empty tank turned out to have a baby rbta and what the guy says is a magnificent anemone. I am not experienced with anemones, but looking on line it doesn't look like one. Granted the tank only has power compact lighting so maybe it's starving for light, because it's completely white.
So can someone help me I'd this anemone please.

If need be, I can bust out the dslr tomorrow, because this is the best I can get from my iPhone. Thank you for the help

Yeah I said it was very bleached. I just picked up this tank a couple days ago and this was in it. It's definitely not a bta, as I've had those and this looks nothing like one. That's why I'm not sure what this is. It's hard to tell from it being so bleached also

Yeah minus the color it seems healthy. It's sticky and it eats, I've been giving it mysis when I feed my other fish. I haven't had the time to get anything larger for it to eat

I have 2 electric pink bta, 1 rbta, 12" ritteri and a inferno on the way. I feed all of mine chopped up table shrimp. Except the ritteri, he eats two whole ones.

I ordered an led light but it won't be here for a week or two. I'm not sure how healthy I can get it with the power compacts the tank has now though.

If the majority of the tentacles are clustered around the outside with some spattering around the oral disk it could be a LT Anemone. Till it colors up it might be hard to ID.
(Macrodactyla doreensis)

Do I have any chance of getting this anemone back to health under pc lighting? Or do I just have to wait for my LEDs? What are some good tips to get it healthy and gain some color?

It stretches out completely when the lights are on like it's trying to get more light. So I've started keeping the white and actinic lights on for at least 8-10 hours to get it more light

Yeah it seems like its starving. Are those stock biocube lights?

Yeah it's the stock pc lighting it comes with. That's why the first thing I did was order a new led light. I'm waiting for the light to come in before I transfer over all my euphylia from my other tank also

Ok, heres what i would do. Im no expert by far, im just a nem fanatic. I would build the aquascape up pretty close to the top. See where he moves. Keep your light schedule. Get some medium shrimp from the grocery store and feed him every other day. Pieces no bigger than his oral disc. Wait for your new lights to come in and slowly acclimate him.

I'd vote LTA but he needs the ICU Stat. It is a good sign he eats. Just remember when you get the new light that he has nothing to protect himself from burning. You need to be very careful not to increase the intensity of light to fast.
