Anemone ID

I bought this as a "rock flower nem" but as it has grown, it definitely does not look like so. It split once already and is growing very close to my sticks!

I think that looks like a flower anemone.

It's pretty big, probably the size of my palm and growing. Definitely different from the usual flower nems I see around

Also to add, it moves unlike what I've read about flower nems rarely moving

Is it possible that is a Curlyque or Rock nem?

I'm still new so take it lightly, but it looks like a rock anemone too. I said "oh a rock I want one of those", before I even read your post

From all the rock flower nems I've seen in person and in photos they lay flat against substrate/rockwork but this guy extended his foot quite a bit

Don't know about how rare. They are $70 online at Fishnreef.com. Read some posts on RC from people saying theirs were very prolific.

Yes, mine was a borneman. I just removed them from my tank as I've been told that they can become pests and keep cloning.

thanks i picked him up for 15$ got a guy who says he cant keep anemones for some reason so he just gets them in on trades and sells them cheap

Except when they start stinging things..grew big and stung my BC upscale colony, had to go

i only have couple corals. i enjoy anemones more. i got a green bta and orange so far there all ok if i have issues i will trade him in or just give him back he was only 15
