Hi just seen this in store, would like to see if anyone knows the specie before I make my mind, LFS doesn’t know the specie. It looks to be some sort of carpet anemone.

Thsnks

Reminds me of a mad long tentacle (macrodactyla doreensis). Does the foot have speckling? I'm sure others will chime in.

I wasn’t able to check under as it is on a deep tank with very poor light, it’s just 5 min from we’re I work really wanted to find out what it is to see if it’s compatible with my reef. It got pink tips and I believe she was purple at some point. If it helps.

Not sure on the purple but the speckling should distinguish if its indeed a long tentacle. Interested to know what it is myself.
I will be going back to the shop shortly to check on the dots, she’s also really big 8-9 inches at the moment

It does have white speckles under, does it means it’s a macrodactyla doreensis? Are they good anemones for a mixed reef?

I would say it's a long tentacle. I've never had one but I know they get huge and do best in a sand bed. It's also a natural host to A. clakii. I wouldn't try one unless I had a very large tank.

Thank you, good thing I’ve checked with you first. It needs a way bigger tank than mine den :)
