Just found this guy in a cave in my tank. Kinda looks like a rock flower baby but I've never heard of just one baby? It's very sticky, about the size of a quarter, and a light purple color. Thanks!

Sorry not at this time. It's hard with my phone camera and the nem is on the move now and not open

I did buy a mini maxi at the lfs yesterday, maybe it hitchhiked on the small shells it's on (but I found it about 4 feet away from the mini)?

Sorry. Can’t ID from those pics

Ok thanks for the response James, heres a better pic (but it's lights out so he's closed). Tomorrow I'll get one of him open

still not a great pic, but any ideas guys?

Hard to say as it’s so small and generally unhappy. Probably a rock flower, but it’ll be much clearer as it settles in and colors up. Doesn’t look like a pest anemone if that’s your worry.

Thanks, Im glad to hear it's probably not a pest. I placed it on a rock and my other concern whether it's a rock nem which should be placed on a rock or a lta which I'd place on the sand. It sure moves alot for a rock nem and the tank I'm thinking it hitchhiked from had both types plus Condy and mini maxis

Well it poked its head out from under the rock so I didn't end up putting it into a cup. Hopefully it colors up nicely!

Well I think I figured out what it is!

Is it common for a rock flower anemone to have only one baby?
