So I have had this anemone for over 2 years bought it at a LFS as a long tentacle it was 2” when I got it now it is over 9”. Besides just long tentacle is there a different type of long tentacle it is?

I just upgraded to this tank to start adding more corals and now he is spreading even more. I only feed him biweekly to monthly to keep his growth rate down but nothing helps. Has never split nor does it look like he ever will. I’m going to have to move him to the wife’s puffer tank if he gets much bigger so I can finish adding more corals.

Long tentacle anemone. I've never heard of any sub-species of them but they get huge! Ours was about 14-16" across and it managed to kill itself finally when it moved it's foot under the ENTIRE PILE OF ROCKS it was attached to and then ballooned up, collapsing the pile and tearing it's foot in the process. It was super sad and kind of epic. We had it for maybe 4 years and bought it about the size of yours. Good nems!

My BTA is getting huge too. And does look like it’s gonna split. It’s taking up so much of my tank that I can’t add any corals.
