Anemone in distress

I was recently given an anemone by a friend, he said it has been all curled up for about a month and he is done trying with it. It seems to be shrunk up a lot, but I've never had an anemone so I don't know what to do. He said it was a white rock flower but it doesn't look like any of the pictures that are online. Any suggestions on what I can do to hopefully get it to come out?and apologies in advance for the dirty glass, its a frag tank so I don't keep the glass very clean.

Get it out of the sand and let it be. it will die (then get it out) or live depending on your tank parameters / lighting.

Looks like its either dead or about to die. The reason it doesn't look like the online pictures is because its most likely closed, what are your parameters and lighting on the tank?
