Hey guys

I was wondering if it’ll be okay to keep my anemone in my sump for a couple days until I sell it off? I have a buyer already but I need to make sure these guys don’t attach to a rock that’s hard to detach from....

My question is simply if the anemones will be fine without direct light? My stand is open so it’s not pitch black... just ambient lighting ... see attached for pics. I don’t have any clip on lights or anything.

What do you think??

I would put them in a plastic basket w/ holes in it, and leave them in the main tank

Agreed, It needs to be placed in a basket & remain in the tank .

If the sump is clean and in good shape, it shouldn't be an issue for a very short time. If you have a light over it, it's probably not an issue atall. I had a refugium and a seperate deep sand bed in my sump. I kept a frag rack and a lot of corals just above the sand for long periods of time.

I’ll probably go the basket route - thank you all for th advice

Breaking down a tank so trying to find the best way to go about it
