A few weeks ago I had some sort of disease outbreak in my main tank. I didn’t want to treat the actual tank as I have live rock and live sand and will eventually want corals. I also have a RBTA in my display tank. I have decided I would be okay giving up corals and such to have my DT disease free. I read medicine soaks into the rocks and you cannot put corals and such in after that. That being said I have a new Fluval evo tank that just arrived. I started it with new water as I didn’t want to possibly add disease to this new hospital tank. I got everything set up and it’s now in the process of cycling. My question is can I move my anemone to this new hospital tank before it’s fully cycled as long as the parameters are okay for it, so I can start treating my DT? Would that be a bad idea? Any input would be appreciated.

As long as you monitor ammonia hell be fine.

I've had pretty good luck with the seachem ammonia alert badge that sticks to the glass. If it starts to change colour test immediately.
