I just received my order and my bubble tip anemone isn’t looking good. His mouth is open and he is shriveled. However he is still sticky to the touch, is he a loss or do you think i can save him. He’s been acclimating for about 2 hours by drip. I do have a hospital tank setup for my fish i just received, my condern is if he dies in the hospital tank will he foul the water to a point that i risk loosing the other livestock. Any ideas , thanks

This is typical for an anemone that was shipped. Being as it is only mouth open and not spilling its guts, that is good. If the nem is acclimated, I suggest putting in a breeder box or something similar and putting in the tank. You should start to see some improvement once it has light/flow. I would also suggest that the breeder box be placed on the edge/corner of the tank, as the light is a little less there.

Thanks, I did put him in a breeder box and there was a significant improvement. Ill post a pic in the morning.

He recovered completely in the hospital tank andhere he is, like nothing ever happened. I’ve had a couple of nems and never had one do what this one did. Had to use a flash lightto counter the blue light.

Look at the cute little guy all cozied up in his rock. Good job keeping him alive!
