i got a LTA about 2 weeks ago. He has been happy in his little spot for 4 days. He had a rough start and floated around for a while. Late last night I walked by to check on my bubble coral and my LTA was right next to it! I moved the coral to a different spot and it’s happy now. But my lta hasn’t moved from that spot but is on its side? Not sure whats going on with it. I thought it was happy where it was before, guess not. any thoughts on what to do? Leave him alone and see what he does? Or burry his foot for him? In the picture below he just went into this position. He was more open before and looked fine Other than being on its side.
water paramenters are normal. Tank size 46gal.

I would dig a hole near the base of a rock, stick foot in hole and mound sand around foot. They like deep sand 3”+++.
Not too much flow, not direct bright light...

Yea I actually just did that lol. I had done that before and he’s back to this other spot so I thought he must like it so I dug him a hole and buried his foot. 15 minutes later and he dug himself out! If I can’t keep him happy I may sell him. I didn’t think he would be this temperamental.

Update he’s been in the same spot and is opened up
How's his mouth look?
it’s hard to see, but it’s open I think. Not a lot but I can see a dark hole so it’s definitely open a little.

I’m considering trading him out for a bubble tip. i do t know I’m at a loss right now and don’t know how to help.or should I just ignore it? Sometimes he gets up in my power head, which I am shocked because I boxed it off lol small crack he got through little stinker.

Wow 2 weeks and already giving up---in this hobby?
LTA are a pain to get them to settle(dig in)(IMO). I learned a little trick here on this forum that worked great for me. Get a disposable plastic cup. Cut off the bottom/sides so the top of the cup/sides is just a little taller than your gravel is deep. Push the top cut off piece into your gravel and remove the gravel from inside the cup(top piece) all the way down to the bottom glass of your aquarium. Put the LTA into the cup. Once the LTA foot attaches to the bottom glass slide the cup up and out of the gravel.

Ignore it, give him some time to recover from bubble stings (perhaps).
IME you cannot place an anemone and expect him to stay put.
Best results I've had is to move the rock he's attached to, with him on it.
