Hello all,

I just bought a black widow anemone from my LFS today, I just acclimated it by adding water to the store bag.

A while after being in the bag, it began to be droopy, so I decided to let it in the tank a bit early.
It's foot latched on to the rock instantly, and it still looks droopy in the tank. I shut all the flow off to make the acclimating process easier- should I turn it back on?

It's been in my tank for about 10 mins.

I keep seeing the anemone move, it's almost like it tries to sit itself up, but then it stops and begins to droop again...

Update; turned the flow on; he's looking a bit better.

Thanks everyone,
Will

Anemones need good water flow to survive, not to mention intense light and food 1-2 times a week!
Black Widows are awesome and beautiful! Nice pick up...
good luck and be safe!

He looks fine to me. What yo need to look out for is if he starts shrinking and hav a gapping mouth. That's when you start watching it. Anemones also deflates at the end of the day which my anemones does.

Just wanted to hop on here and say -
My bta sits right at the top of my tank , when I do a water change it is out of the water completely for like 5min . When I add the water back it looks like this for about 20-30min and then plumps up and is happy .

Bad health signs for anemones are:
-gaping mouth
-expelling it’s guts

To anyone who's interested, he started to look much better when I put the flow on, I think he's just chillin now.

Thanks for the help everyone, I hope this anemone does well! :)
