How old is your aquarium please
Anemone don't do well unstable conditions especially newer aquriam's as you may not have enough nutrients in the water. any changes to lighting recently, did you see mouth of anemone before it moved, do you feed it? Any other coral showing signs of change like receding/ not opening

Hi Rick,
Tank is a couple months old now. Lighting been the same since set up, and have had the anemone for about four weeks. Been growing (doubled actually) but just deflated this evening. Had done a water change and washed out filter yesterday. All the other corals seem ok and the fish all seem fine.
have upped the flow tonight and checked the heater.
The mouth looked closed, but cant be sure.
one thing I did do different was to stick two small corals with some putty, could this have anything to do with this ?

Thanks

Couple months is generally not enough for an anemone. Usually closer to 9 months to a year is best, especially with a new reefer and dry rock.

What lighting is being used? What are current parameters?

Had a Sabae once thriving until I fed it a grocery store shrimp. Nothing else I could blame and it's demise was quick and swift post that shrimp. Something to consider

Is it getting any flow at all?

Lighting is the one that came with the Fluval Evo tank I bought. As per attached picture.
perimeters are as follows (taken about an hour ago)
salidity is at 1.025
PH is at 8.0
Nitrate is at 5.0, but could be getting to 10.00
Ammonia is at 0.25
Nitrite is at 0
Temp is at 82F

Thanks

How long has it been like that? Mine sometimes go limp like that early but they perk back up throughout the day.
It was fine all day I’m told , but went like that early this evening. Not done this before. Seemed to have Been thriving since we got it, no problems.
This was taken about a week or so ago.

It does look good in that picture! Hopefully the increased flow will help.

It may just be getting ready for bed or potentially ready go split. If it’s mouth is closed I wouldn’t worry much yet.

Only since this evening !
would be gutted if it dies, everyone thinks it’s awesome !

Tank looks awfully clean and may not be mature enough to sustain this anemone . While Not impossible, assure your numbers are stable. If you have elevated Nitrate and phosphate- It will not be happy. Also they need moderate light and water flow. It may be hiding if the white intensity is high especially seeing the mass below it which looks like zooxanthellae which they will expel from too much intensity

Hi,
Have only fed it with frozen shrimp, the same stuff that the shop fed it, and also flake food, same as I’ve always used.
Thanks

Hi,
Are you talking about the mass on the left ? If so they are pulsating Xenia, taken from my old tank.
my Nitrate s are at 5 and PH at 8.00, Ammonia is at 0.25
Had only cleaned out the tank yesterday and must admit I am a bit OCD ! Lol

Thanks

It moved so it must not have been happy where it was. Did it move before or after the water change? Do you know what the salinity was before the change and what the salinity of the water change water was? Like stated above it could have been getting to much light and decided to finally move. My bubble tips used to act weird when ever I did a water change for a few hours afterward, especially if the salinity was off even a little. At one point I wanted to up my salinity from 1.024 to 1.027 I did it very slowly and every time I added or shut of the top off they would wilt for a couple hours.

Was the shrimp farm raised or wild caught?
