Couple months is generally not enough for an anemone. Usually closer to 9 months to a year is best, especially with a new reefer and dry rock.Hi Rick,
Tank is a couple months old now. Lighting been the same since set up, and have had the anemone for about four weeks. Been growing (doubled actually) but just deflated this evening. Had done a water change and washed out filter yesterday. All the other corals seem ok and the fish all seem fine.
have upped the flow tonight and checked the heater.
The mouth looked closed, but cant be sure.
one thing I did do different was to stick two small corals with some putty, could this have anything to do with this ?
Thanks
Have now upped the flow, so hoping things would improve !The only time mine sag like that is when there is too little flow or none at all . Mine pretty much get blown around but they seem to like it.
It was fine all day I’m told , but went like that early this evening. Not done this before. Seemed to have Been thriving since we got it, no problems. How long has it been like that? Mine sometimes go limp like that early but they perk back up throughout the day.

It does look good in that picture! Hopefully the increased flow will help.

Fingers crossedIt does look good in that picture! Hopefully the increased flow will help.
It may just be getting ready for bed or potentially ready go split. If it’s mouth is closed I wouldn’t worry much yet.
It was when it was in another spot, but decided to move there. Been fine there for four days and all of a sudden, it went limp !Is it getting any flow at all?
Tank looks awfully clean and may not be mature enough to sustain this anemone . While Not impossible, assure your numbers are stable. If you have elevated Nitrate and phosphate- It will not be happy. Also they need moderate light and water flow. It may be hiding if the white intensity is high especially seeing the mass below it which looks like zooxanthellae which they will expel from too much intensity
Hi,Had a Sabae once thriving until I fed it a grocery store shrimp. Nothing else I could blame and it's demise was quick and swift post that shrimp. Something to consider
