My new Anemone decided to settle down on top of a monster turbo snail.

I thought it was cool but wondering if anything bad happen from this? I really want to be careful and not lose this anemone.

I don’t know much about anemones but my large turbos get up on the power heads to eat. I would be afraid of the anemone getting sucked in.
Thanks ive been very cautious and have kept the powerhead off until he settles down.

I'm no expert by any means but here is my take on it, and what I do.....

I leave my powerheads on, because part of them "settling down" is finding a place where they like the flow and light, and they can't do that if the flow isn't really happening. I cover the powerheads with nylon stockings. Until I can find a way to 3-D print something better, that's what I have. I had (he moved after a few days) my bubble-tip sit DIRECTLY ABOVE a powerhead, and he was just fine. I even moved the magnet to move it a few inches to make sure he wasn't somehow getting sucked in, but at the end of the day, I never turned that Powerhead off, because I kept my flow constant, and let him move when he was ready.

I will provide a picture when I find it (and I post from my phone, not my work PC!)

Tough to see, but under this guy is a powerhead! He must have liked the bidet treatment.
That’s amazing - why are they such stupid creatures?! Well done for taking precautions! My two have never wandered near the PH, but one is stinging a load of monti plate and digi.

Of course, the RTA anemone. they just cruise everywhere

RTA = Rainbow transit authority !!!

How did this end up? I'm in the same situation as we speak. The anemone has been wandering the last few days, even though well fed and been in this tank a month. They're looking good so I'm not concerned.

It ended up killing my huge turbo snail a couple days later and then moved on to a rock.

I have used the nylons for power heads as well. Works like a charm keeps the nem safe too.

seen this before. Piggy back riders and then to see a clown trying to settle into the anemone while the crab is moving is hilarious !

I was searching bubble tip anemones and came across this thread. I’m just wondering what happened (over time?) kinda’ like a where are they now? Did the anemone stay on the snail for any length of time? Or, just moved along? Just curious... This looked so funny! But, very interesting for sure! I love my reef tank, so much fun to watch! Never know what they’ll do next!

I’m guessing that with anemones rarely stationery and snails being travelers, it abandoned ship
