Anemone maybe ill hardly moves does he look ok

Has hardly moved mouth was open for a while now closed please help do you think he looks OK any help really appreciated

Do you know what kind it is? Looks like a BTA.

About 3 days but he hardly moves is that normal.

I did have a disaster yesterday where my skimmer packed up and I had to get a new yesterday so about 4 hours no skimmer

I was just worried don't want to loose him but tried feeding him but don't seem to want food what's your suggestion how many times to feed.

First off, welcome to the forum. Is he in a high flow area? I am just learning about them as well, just got a bta Sunday myself.

It looks fine. If your wanting tentacle movement you need to have water movement to make that happen. You want it to stay in one place & it will find that on it's on. Mine has stayed where I put it last yr. Do you have or plan to get a clown for it? looks more like a LTA than BT. what color is the foot.

So you suggest just leave him where he is and let him find his way.

It looks healthy to me, I am not an expert but wait maybe a week. He will find his sweet spot around the tank on his own. Make sure to have some safety in regards to flow propellers just in case that it detaches from the rock.

Looks fine. Anemones usually only move if they are not happy where they are placed. If it isn’t moving, that’s a good thing. I feed mine 2-3 times per week. Krill, shrimp, oyster. Anything meaty. Just touch it to its tentacles and it should “stick” to them

I would. Mine acted very weird when introduced to my tank. I got this anemone from someones tank that was crashing and decided to save the fish and anemone.
It shrinked up for the first 2 days and thought he was not gonna make it but I guess it was just expelling the nasty water from the persons tank. Its doing great now.

Yes. if it's an LTA it will stay in the sand. Most others like rocks or rubble

Just feed it and keep things relatively stable and it will do great. I only worry about mine if they close up for a day or more

I'd leave it alone and let it acclimate for a couple weeks. Probably not feed it for the first week.

It is not a bta. A picture of the underside would help with id.

How old is your tank and what lighting do you have?
