Got a new Rainbow BTA for my tank on Friday. Put it where I thought would be a good spot, front and top of the rocks. Of course, that night it moved all the way across the tank and behind the rocks. Has been there since. Can somewhat see it, but there appears to be no light back there. Looks healthy otherwise. I have read a few other threads saying to just let it be which is the plan. But wanted to see if anyone had any further input or experiences/ stories of this sort of thing.

The usually go into hiding to adapt to the new light and then come out

My experience with BTAs is that they don't like up, front, on top of the rock. Mine all searched out crevices and caves to bury their foot in.

But, he's there now. The only way I've gotten them to move is by rotating the rock they're on so to disturb them a little. And do it often. If that's an option you can try that.

Ya I have read that somewhere else too but that rock isn’t easily movable. I have also read for a RFA to have them attach there foot to a pvc end cap and place it where you want. Sounds like people have had success with this on the RFA but didn’t know if that would work with a BTA.

I would advise against bothering the nem at all, It’s new to the tank and has to adjust. Give it a week or two. Don’t bother it at all !!

Ya definitely. Thats the plan. Just wanted to get some info ahead of time if I have to move it in a few weeks
