Tank is 120, 3 nems, 3corals, uhm...less than I purchased fish. Tank is 4 months old.
So, I know what you're going to say already, but keep in mind I have a very impatient husband. We have stressed this tank to the extreme and all in all, it has done well. Some deaths and that sucks, but overall very minimal from my last try at this (dear God, the ptsd I and my local aquarium have).
Anyway, we got some nems much earlier than we should've. We had professional care until this month when the guy kinda flaked on us. I paid very close attention however!
So recently, we purchased a BTA that was lost for days and then moved very close to a clondylactus. The clondy moved, stung a coral ( at least in my mind) and I moved said coral. Now suddenly the carpet is moving, I've lost a fish (literally cannot find him) and all my nems have refused food and moved (except for previously mentioned BTA, which, once resurfaced, hasn't moved...oh yeah but he did not eat. His proffered and rejected food was gone in 24 hrs; not sure where it went). I noticed a weird film on the top of my water from looking up through the bottom of the tank.
Okay, so what's the problem?
IDK. Maybe nothing. Didn't like the film, so re-adjusted spouts.
Duncan looks sad. I don't like him being sad.
Freak out or chill and let my very new tank develop? Reminder:. Impatient husband.
We love our fish and every death is a heartbreak. We're not good at this but we'd like to be. Pics posted are after the timed lights said "go to bed" so everyone is sleepy. Does anything look wrong to y'all? I'm Southern and food is love. Am I overfeeding nems? I usually feed them every few days (sometimes every other day if they're willing to take food). If they don't, i pretty usually remove.
