Hey everyone,

My anemone has been through a lot recently, we had a power outage which mean't my filter wasn't on at night. After this my nem decided to move to the back of the tank for whatever reason.

A few days later, it got sucked up into the filter output, for probably a few hours, I got it out and everyone said he looked fine.

Today, I saw a snail on the side of the nem, just sitting there almost puncturing it's side, I posted about this but got no replies, so I switched categories to try and get some more eyes on it.

Anything I can do for him? Will he be ok? Water parameters are fine to my knowledge. Any specific things I should test?

Thanks,
Will

Id just leave him be for a bit. Hes been through a lot. If hes going to make it, being left alone will be best. Check your water parameters just in case theres anything making him unhappy. I wouldnt try to feed or anything. make sure he cant get sucked back into anything if hes moving to a new location.

I moved the output head so he can't get sucked in again, I didn't try to feed it but earlier I think it grabbed some mysis shrimp. I'll check parameters again and post them here. Thank you

Isolate the Nem. You can get a clear acrylic box that hangs inside the tank. This will prevent it from roaming around and getting into trouble. Another advantage is easy removal if it looks like its dying.

I don't think I would want to pry him off of the rock, something doesn't sit right with that for me.

You wouldn't pry it off the rock. You would place the rock in isolation too. And if the rock is big, use a quarantine tank.

Not sure I can do that, I have a hex tank and the rock that the nem is on has two other big rocks on it. I think I'll wait a bit longer, he's actually looking better now...
