I’ve been thinking about getting an anemone for my clown fish for a little while but there is only a few spots in the tank where the par level is high enough for him will it stay in the right lighting or will it still move around.

They can and will move and perhaps your clown wont even host it. I think get one, we had one that was in the corner without light for months and it just turned a bit clear. we just moved the whole rock into the center of the tank.
Cheers! Mark
Wow! I figured they would go to a spot and be like this isn’t it I did not think they would put themselves in an unfavorable environment

I have found that they won't move much if you give them a nice spot that is favorable. A nice rock that have grooves that they can recede into, in an area with good light, and some flow that isn't strong. From there they will move a bit into the spot that they prefer, but our of the 5 that I have none have moved more than a few inches.

In the past I've had a few that went all over the tank, but that was 100% my fault for not making a good spot for them and really not being knowledgeable enough to create a suitable environment.
