I was able to cut it out. Very carefully cut around the nem. It was very stuck. I took a Tupperware container drilled a bunch of holes. And placed the nem in that. Will check on it in the morning.

LTA's arent quite as hardy as BTA's. Foot damage can be fatal for them. Hopefully it pulls through. If it does, you will have to try and figure out why it detached and started floating around in the first place.

The foot looks good. Looks open this morning. I was working on the tanks Sunday and I think that's what did it.

I pulled it tonight. it was sloughing stuff off.

Sorry about your nem. I know it may not be the most sightly thing, but I have sponge filters on all my intakes to make such occurrences impossible.

I have gaurds on my 90 didnt think about it in the 55. They are small ph. I didnt think the nem would fit through them. Just enough did to do major damage with out nuking the tank. I think I got very lucky.
