Our rbta has been on a steady decline. That picture is end of March when we upgraded our lights. Since then it has been shrinking steadily and since yesterday wrapped up and hiding. Help me save it please!!! I have revive coral dip, could possibly come up with a small hospital tank if necessary. Everyone else is happy and thriving.

Don’t dip in revive! Post your parameters and a better picture of it.

BTA does not need or want very high light and current. They tend to hide their foot in protective crevices and extend their oral plates and tentacles up from there. You may have too much light and current for him. Consider lower the light.

Do not dip in coral revive. I do not think remove from the rock and dipping will do anything other than injure him with removal from rock and stress him more with dipping in toxic liquid. While I do not know exactly what is in Coral Revive, I do think that they have substance in it that designed to kill pests that can be a problem in our DT. We really have no idea what these toxin do to our anemones.

What lights did you switch from and switch to. When I switched from t5 to led I had some losses.

Have you checked your salinity? My BTA sadly died because my salinity got to like 1.028 or1.029.

We have a 32 gallon biocube and switched to Steve's LED'S, which I highly recommend. Yes, we have been very...I mean very slowly acclimating the tank to better lighting. I did a full water test on Sunday after I posted this and our alk was pretty low, otherwise everything else was a good. Buffing alkalinity in small doses. The anemone is on the move, let's hope that helps and it settles back in somewhere and opens back up. The mouth doesn't seem to be open or gaping, he's just wrapped up and scooting around.
