Sigh. I had him boxed in with rock but this is what I found this morning.
Do you think he'll pull himself out?

Yes, just leave the screen in the tank.
Make sure your nem isn’t damaged by the powerhead, if so keep it in a fragtank.
After he removed him self from the screen and he recovers you can add him back into the tank.
Note, don’t run your powerhead without the screen.
If you have a backup screen use that.

What Diesel said. I had a sherman get caught in a power head, tore him up.... after a while he freed himself, hid under a rock & recuperated. He's about 10" across now & happy & healthy. These are amazing creatures.

That's awesome! I hope I don't kill this guy.

Anyone know what I can use as a cover for a Tunze Nanostream 6045? Tunze doesn't seem to make a specific one.
 
You can use a pantyhose foot as a quick fix with a rubber band.
 
And this is exactly why I mentioned Pantyhose 2 days ago until it gets firmly attached. @Diesel 's advice is spot on.
