Can anyone tell me what kind of anemone this is? I will have an opportunity to by this guy once he splits again. The owner says it’s an RBTA but it looks so much bigger than that.

I dont think it's a rainbow, I agree it's a long tip anemone. I have a rainbow and they usually have two colors at all times, but I could be wrong...

I am inclined to think BTA. They get huge, bigger than dinner plates, the absence of bubble tips is more common than not. The coloration is right, more rose than purple imo. If it's a BTA there should be thin white lines radiating out from the oral opening.

This is 100% Entacmaea quadricolor, or the bubble tip anemone. It's also not a rainbow, but a rose. I'm also inclined to add that 2 colors does not make anything a rainbow haha that's just another gimmicky tactic we have. It's very common when they get big for them to not have inflated tentacles and for them to be longer. Some E. quadricolor will split before they get that big, but some will never split and this is likely one that's missing that trait. Or just doesn't split very often.

This guy splits just not very often. I prefer the tentacles like this and I’m pretty excited to get it.
