Anemone Question

Is there anything I could do to encourage him to stay in a area
Good flow and good lighting to where you want him to stay is about all you can do.

When they are on the move you can pick them up to move them. Nothing will keep them in one place. They can grab and release as they please. You can put them in a small container like a flower pot and place a lid on it till he attaches, but even then, if he wants to detach his foot and walk around he will. If he can’t walk he will float.

I put one in my tank last night.i put him on the second highest point in the tank.i half expected him to be somewhere else when I woke up but he was still where I put him so hopefully he will stay there

How would I get my Anemone to stay in one spot
Got to made of plastic if that’s required.

All you can do is provide what they want, got to have a keen eye to see when things aren’t making them happy, and even so, after years in one spot they can up and move one day with no warning.

Different anemone like different things. BTA typically like to put their foot in a crevice or hole in a rock and make a “J” to come out for light. Not always, but more often than not. Some like sand like LTA and malu and haddoni, they like to attach to a solid surface, rock bottom or tank bottom, under the sand. Others like rocks up high like mags and gigs.

Best you can do, provide them with the “footing” they want, then provide them with light and flow in that area.
