Anemone question

Hi all, I just got a long tentacle anemone about 3 days ago. It has yet to attach itself to any rocks. Should I be worried?

From what I understand, this type of nem needs a deep sand bed to place its foot into.

turn the wave makers off for a little while and place it in the sand .
Do you have any pictures ?

a dislodged , travelling anemone isn’t a happy one .

Welcome to R2R! As other have said LTA are usually bottom dwellers. You can try to dig a little spot out exposing the glass underneath and placing it in the hole. They prefer a mature tank, moderate flow, lighting in the 150+ par range and stable parameters. I keep my bta's at 8-9alk and 10-15 nitrate.

Assure it is not subject to too much flow allowing it to plant its foot in a desired location.
