Thank you. Interesting. I have had the Anem for several months and the shop I bought it from had it for 3. Does it typically take that long for the brown to show up?I can't say for sure what the nem is but it could be a Heteractis crispa. The brown is a good thing. It means that the anemone is recovering its zooxanthellae after bleaching. Unfortunately, one of the big scams of the hobby is bleached nems. Distributors can't be bothered to help the anemone recover after collection, so they ship it out as a natural color. It will likely become brown/purple as it colors up.
