Anemone question

Welcome! So am I the only one that thinks the anemone is either heteractis malu or heteractis crispa (sebae) , (leaning towards h.malu), and not an LTA? Either way, the advice given is solid.

Hello!
I’ve been a reefer for 1 year and have learned so much from this forum. I have a 30 gal tank. My anemone moved last night to a new spot and looks like a taco! He seems healthy. I feed him 1 feeder fish a week and yesterday was his day. Should I do anything with the stuff that’s on the outside of its body or just leave it? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Welcome! Glad you joined. Interesting to see different ways people feed theirs. Advantage you have on feeding whole feeder fish is its getting ALL the parts, ie: higher oils from liver, higher calcium from bones (potentially), so all around likely you have better feeding choice... though for my convenience, I will continue sticking with weekly feeding mine thawed LRS Reef Frenzy .

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
