Yes he’s good. Sitting and healing.Awesome! They do that when they are fed regularly. But, sometimes if they are not well they will too. Does it look normal? Mine are a bit stringy right after splitting fyi.
It wasn’t eating for a couple days and I thought it was dying then boom it’s two of them. OMG total shockIs it because of shock or is it thriving? Any changes in light, flow, or parameters?
Sounds very similar to mine when it split, stoped eating shrunk down moved into a cave an used that as leverage to pull itself apart. It wasn’t eating for a couple days and I thought it was dying then boom it’s two of them. OMG total shock
Good deal, i have had mine a year, and between the clown feeding it and what they pick up when i broadcast feed the fish they have been quite prolific, as in there are now 7 and that after selling 3.Yes he’s good. Sitting and healing.
Wow. What do you feed them?! Mine doesn’t like silversides. Well not whole. They like them chopped up. I’m trying to find something easier. They haven’t hosted the clown fish yet. At least I haven’t seen them bonding as of yet.Good deal, i have had mine a year, and between the clown feeding it and what they pick up when i broadcast feed the fish they have been quite prolific, as in there are now 7 and that after selling 3.

Everything I’ve read has said that splitting any more than once a year or so is likely due to stress or unfavorable conditions, that healthy anemones will put resources into sexual reproduction and that frequent splitting is more of a survival strategy (if conditions are unfavorable they will split to double the odds of their genetics surviving) than a propagation strategy. I’m not saying that that is the case with yours or the OP’s, but just in general if your anemone is splitting often, there is likely something off (water chemistry, lighting, flow), or something irritating it.Awesome! how big are they? If they are. Decent size sounds like A normal split.
I wasn’t too happy to see my almost dinner plate split. But it does look cool once they heal if they decide to sit together and almost form a colony
No it hasn’t been a year yet. He just did it. They like the rock with the algae so hopefully this helps them heal.Everything I’ve read has said that splitting any more than once a year or so is likely due to stress or unfavorable conditions, that healthy anemones will put resources into sexual reproduction and that frequent splitting is more of a survival strategy (if conditions are unfavorable they will split to double the odds of their genetics surviving) than a propagation strategy. When mine split I was advised to wait 2-3 weeks and let it heal before feeding and seems to have worked for me.Should I try to feed them or wait for them to heal up completely?!
