Main display 380g. (96" x 30" x 30")

FOWLR Environment

48g sump w/ Refugium filter sock stage 1 filtration

Icecap 4k wave maker PH (2) on opposite sides of display on 24hr variable flow intervals

Orphek V4 Gen 2 lighting (2)

I have 2 LTA & 1 BTA. Each was added at a different time several months apart. Each has footed, and all have their color. No bleaching.

The issue I'm having is that all 3 have shrunk. When first added they were full and vibrant for several days, then they would find a spot they like, set their foot, and within a few more days shrink. The latest is an addition about 7 days ago. A really beautiful LTA with dark purples and greens that resembles the colors of the Joker. Same behavior as the last 2. Moved to a spot, footed, and had begun to shrink.

Now I know I'm doing something wrong, but I'm confused as to what it could be.

Parameters are all good, I use the red Sea testing kit.

I'm thinking it has to be the lighting but am unsure. If the flow was wrong wouldn't they just move to a different location?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are the parameters “good” on an ICP test?

Mine prefer dirty water and drift-food item capture of excess fish food.

I agree that it is likely related to your lighting. Changes in symbiont algae to adapt to the light available often cause “fading” in coral and nems as they adjust to the new environment.
Long term the creatures will adapt and often return to their original coloration. This have observed that coral under led will often look better than mh or the more natural 10K lighting. Not much can be done to fix that unless you can change or adjust the lighting spectrum in the DT.

Please forgive me in advance for this meme :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Whats your p04? C081B2E2-BD9A-420B-B90C-F879C7531995.png

Not an anemone expert but I remember like 10 years ago it was common to feed a nem 1-2 times a week. Now it seems less common, but back then I kept a sebae happy with not the best reefing skills. More recently I've lost an lta to similar circumstances to yours and I feel these animals may be going hungry. I think either +1 to "dirtier" water which will supply them nutrients or supplement feedings with mysis once a week may help. Just my thoughts, again tho not an expert..

No apology necessary for the meme lol, it made me laugh as well.

Phosphates are measuring just under 2ppm.

It's one of the reasons I haven't converted to a mixed reef yet, I have sponges growing but I've got to wait for coral until I can get the Calc, and other finer time parameters in check.

If you are measuring 2.0ppm and not .02 or .2, i would consider this to be an issue.

Its possible your anemones are getting shocked by the high p04 in your tank as compared to the water they came from.

It could be leaching from the rock if the rock has absorbed its max allowable amount which would make sense that all nems that are residing on the rocks are not happy.
