That's not an nem, its actually a Hammer Coral which is part of the Euphyllia family. They tend to like lower light levels, and it looks like you've got this guy pretty high up in the tank. I would move him down to the sand bed and see if he improves, but he looks pretty far gone, you can at least save the good head. Do you have any specific numbers on your parameters by chance?Hello all I have a fairly well established tank parameters and quality are excellent....but I have a sick anemone that is attached to a healthy anemone......I assume the one nem is sick but I am not sure and if it is how to I cure it??

I would remove the bad head, and trash it, it's pretty far gone, the good head i'd put further down in the tank, closer to the sand bed. Hammer coral's don't like a whole lot of light or flow. Also if you could up your salinity, your corals will love it in the long run, somewhere around 1.026. Try both of those and see if it improves. and some day your hammer could look like mine, its huge! And how do I save the good head
Just move him down to the sand bed, and keep stable parameters, and he'll bounce back. Hammer coral are pretty hearty.Moved the hammer to lower in the tank but I agree I think the one head is done but how do I save the other healthy head??
You can either use a bone cutter, if you don't have that, just break him off with your hands. It can come out of the water, but for no more than a couple minutes. And what do I use to cut it off and it obviously needs to stay in water?
No problem, and remember, nothing good happens in this hobby quick, slow down, take your time, don't rush things or cut corners or it'll end badly. Happy reefingOk perfect thank you all I hope it bounces back
