Anemone spawning

Who has successfully got their anemones to spawn? Does anyone try to breed bubble tips or are most cutting and waiting for natural splits?
My nems multiply on their own, I started with 3 and now whole tank is filled with them.
They started to multiply on their own after I got parameters stable and dosing cal-alk and mag when parameters aren’t where they should be and AB+ every other day

I have had a spawning event from my bubble tips anemones as well as splitting. The spawning event happend right after I topped off with warmer water in the summer , (rodi was outside lol). Aside from that I have also had rfas spawn and actually was able to have a pic. I’m not sure if any of the anemones survived through filtration but I do have a couple babies that I find (2 so far)

I’m thinking the top off triggered it , like a change of current in the ocean with warmer temps. I don’t have an ATO so when I top off I can sometimes add a little much

I am currently working to nail down haddoni spawning. I have had a few spawns so far, and a single baby that managed to grow in the sump. I use moon cycles for the lights, but so far there is no pattern to when they spawn. Same goes for my RFA, no pattern to moon cycles or temp.

In my case with bta’s just wait for natural splits, my rose got the the size of a small dinner plate then split into 4 fist sized nems. Green bta has yet to split.

personally don’t agree with cutting nem, and spawning is not really an option in smaller tanks, would be cool to see in a bigger thank though.

This nem is a split from a GBTA last week, idk why just decided to become two lol also likes being right at the water surface

Maybe someone in this thread can shed some light on my recent experiences.

I have a 20 gallon cube full of about 20 Black Widow bubble tips. The colony is about 10 years old, grown by my aunt, and passed down to me. I transported them from their old 34gallon red sea 130D to a new 20 gallon max nano in mid September 2022. On October 10th I experienced my first event. I witnessed the nems excreting some kind of green bubbly mucus. What I presumed to be poop, as a few days before I scraped a bunch of turf algae off my glass and the nems are a bunch. It cloudied up my water significantly. My response was a 50% water change, I didn't have a skimmer yet. It was clear a couple of days later.

Today (Jan 4 2023) I woke up at 7:30 to a similar looking cloudy tank. I have a nano skimmer that had pulled some nasty gunk out of the water already. My filter socks was filthy and there was a film over the top of the water in the filtration area. I did a 25% water change and am letting the skimmer do the rest. As of 2pm same day the water looks a lot more clear but still cloudy.

Did my nems poop or did they spawn?

Attached are photos of both events.

Bubble tips here. I went from 3 to 47 in less than a year with no spawning, all splits. I'm wondering if maturity of the tank matters? My tank is a few years old now and I can't remember the last time they multiplied.
As I said in my above post, my colony is 10 years old. But my tank is 4 months old, and I've gotten at least 10 splits in the past 4 months

My BTA split usually 3-4 times every few months. My rockflowers spawn babies only once in the two years I've gotten them. I broadcast feed benepets twice weekly. My sebae nem has not split but is over 12inch in width and i've had for three years.

Yjey dont spawn but rather split in which you will see sudden weird behavior, puffiness then there are two. Do nothing when they split as they will heal on their own and ask for a feeding thereafter
