Hi everyone,

So during the night everything was chill and didnt see any problems in my tank, i tested everything and came out as,
Alkalinity: 9.6
Calcium: 500 ppm
Magnesium:1410
However during the night MY ANEMONE SPLIT. I’m concerned that it got too big in its hole so it had to split.

Though what do I need to do to maintain the anemone healed throughout their process?

Personally I wouldn't worry about it. First anenome? I know how you feel anxiety its gonna go around and sting other corals. Don't worry about it! The anemone will heal as well all natural and if it doesn't? That's life my friend your anemone will regrow from the splitter.

So far I’ll keep an eye on water quality so nothing gets in its way from healing. Thanks though!

What is next? Pull up a chair, grab your remote, and pull up Star Trek The Trouble with Treibbles episode so you know what you are in for.

One anemone, then two, then three....

Congratulations your a father! Is something someone on here told me when my Acan(Micro) had a new bud. It's normal for some anemones to split to reproduce. My suggestion is keep an eye on your parameters, keep it clean of any debris. It will heal in time.

Lets go!! Yeah i’ll be watching and testing mostly every day so theres no specific issues happening with my parameters!

Wouldn't it be 1,2,4,8,16? Because they split so they double?

Yeah - there is that. Because, well, One is the Loneliest Number according to Three Dog Night.

Oh - but wait, there is more. Once they are established you get more excitement when they cloud up the tank due to spawning. This was one of mine just last month. I am glad it was only one this time. Sometimes multiples fire off and I have to do an emergency water change.

I've seen my Rock Flowers do that. I even caught a few snails doing that as well.

Mine recently split from 1 to 3 overnight
I was so wrong, I thought it split into two but it split into 3!!! I found out because I was curious about a small little part just being a left over until it was an actual separate anemone as soon as i looked more into its detail!

Congrats! New tank family members!
