Quite a while. Feeding anemones actually stress them, so you don't want to feed an anemone unless it's 100% healthy. To be honest I don't feed any of my anemones at all. But it can sometimes take a couple months to heal properly when they split.
 
I used to get it all the time and it grew and gained color, could it differ based on the type?

You really would only need to feed an anemone that has bleached and lost most of it's zooxanthellae. If it's healthy it only needs light to grow.

Ok that makes since cause it was slightly bleached when I bought it. Thanks
