Hello, I've had this Condy Anemone for about a month now and he's been great. The past few days though he went behind a rock and would inflate and deflate like normal. Today he was inflated and got really big, then within minutes he was deflated and looked like the guts were out. I really don't know how he went from completely healthy looking and inflated to looking like this in minutes. I freaked out a little and put him in a separate tank because didn't want him contaminating it. Here are some pics of it. If you look closely it kind of looks like a little split in the middle too, so I don't know what's going on. Can someone please help!!?

Is that it's mouth or foot? What type of lighting do you have in your tank? Has it eaten since you've had it? They can be real touchy and with it not being attached it doesn't look good. Definitely doesn't look like it's splitting. I would place in a container and place it where it will get good light and flow. They typically like to bury their foot in the sand. Good Luck.

Yeah, but he always has moved around a lot and never really stayed in the same spot very long. This is what he looks like now about 15 minutes after the post

Doesn't that look super weird though? It looks like he's splitting even though I know he probably isn't.. I have 2 t5 coral lite for daylight and night. It's always been the same light since I've had him and he's always looked healthy and ate no problem. I mean he was completely inflated and healthy looking literally minutes before this happened.

And sorry to answer your other question, that's his mouth.
