Anemone too large for my tank

Wow!! That is a beauty you have there! Congrats! I say move everyone else out into a new tank and give him free run of this tank. :-) I read that some nems split under stress (although I'm sure that's not the case with all of them) so maybe you should give yourself a pat on the back for your guy being so happy. :-)

My anemone has been growing rapidly and it has a thing for my powerheads. It takes way too much room in my tank and I can't have corals near it because it stings everything. I was even thinking about giving it away to someone with a bigger tank. Do anemones eventually split? if so, is there anything I can do to help that process?

Did you end up trying to split this anemone? Wow zero that thing is happy

I tried but his foot is big and I couldn’t get it to move and when it moves, it does it at nighttime.

First world reefer problems. I bought an expensive coral and its growing huge and preventing me from buying more expensive coral.

I want it I'm in Tennessee and it would need to be shipped. I'm sure shipping it won't be cheap because of its size. If you are willing to ship give me a price so I can take that beauty off your hands.

I haven’t attempted to remove the anemone yet. I’m planning an upgrade and I will be removing it then

It's been a while since anything was said about that huge anemone. Just curious what ever happened to it?

I forgot to update you guys. It ended up splitting on its own in December and now I have two large anemones in the tank

I'll buy the anemone for my 400 gallon tank! Talk to me, how much can you help me for? I'm Ronnie for Palm Beach Florida 954-274-0651.

Hi Ronnie.

My anemone ended up splitting naturally a few months back. I gave away both after splitting because they started moving and damaging some of my corals.
