First post ever!

Small rose bta had just under a year one.the one it split from is doing fine but this one has a white section above its mouth for a week or two he grabs food and tries to eat it not sure how much he gets. My domino hosts both anemones.
Thankyou for any help in telling what’s going on

Welcome to r2r !!
Any recent changes in the system?
What you see are messentrial filaments which they produce when stressed .

@Aquarium noob welcome to R2R.

Do you have a clearer picture by chance? It almost appears as though it has expelled a chunk of half-digested and half undigested food clump but would like to see a different pic if possible.

I have seen some of my BTA's expel a bit portion from time to time over the years.

Is the mouth itself closed or agape?

EDIT: I apologize. I just cannot see the pic clearly. Is that pic part of the tentacles chewed up a little or are they okay? Again thank you.

Looks like it cannot CONSUME FOOD SOURCE AND IS PUSHING BACK PUT. iS IT UNDER DECENT WATER FLOW?
