I bought a nice anemone Saturday at AC. Sunday when I got up it was sitting on top of my circulation fan. It had somehow got in the fan and had been hit with the blades on the fan. I moved it down in the tank and it moved to the glass and seemed to be ok. Today looks like its getting worse, not as full as it was and a small ball of fuss is under it like it fell off. It is still stuck to the glass. Is there any hope for this guy or should I go ahead and remove it from the tank?

Thanks

green tip, not really the foot as much as the tips and body, but both were damaged. Damaged about the size of a dime.

Should be ok give it time and make sure your parameters don't movie to much. I've had BTA that lost all its tentacles in a powerhead and survived.

Bump. I have 2 condys and my big one got sucked into the power head. Got damage really good, but survived. The main thing is their foot. Trust me if it does you will know. They fall apart quick.

He's fine. Just unhappy. They let go when they die and the start to disintegrate quick. You will know. When they are deflated like that its nothing to worry about for the most part. It happens all the time.

Thanks!! I will keep a close eye on it. I fed it a piece of krill little bit ago and it took the food so we will see.

Thanks again!

My anemone bit the dust. It got better and decided to float around the tank. I cut the circulation fan off and left it off overnight. It ended up getting stuck in the teeth on the overflow and died. It seemed to float around the tank than stay in one place. Is this common??

I doubt anything is really "common" when it comes to bta's. sorry for your loss.
