Yes, it's hard to tell from the pick but the bottom left is that just a reflections of something ??

Yeah just a reflection off the rocks,,so white with purple tips is good nothing to worrie about then???

What was it sold to you as? Depends on what kind of nem it is. Looks like a sebae and if it is then it looks pretty healthy. I know sebaes are one of the easy nems to keep but never been able to keep one. Right now I have 3 houdini carpet nems, A ritteri and a couple bubble tips and no problems. But just cant keep a sebae for more then 6 months

The guy at the lfs said it was a BTA,,so sebae is that what kind it is????

That is H. Crispa. It should not be white! It has been bleached by the wholesaler to make it easier to sell. It should be a cream color with purple tips when healthy. While easier than carpets and mags they are not easy to keep and to get it health again it needs to be fed small pieces of raw shrimp, squid, krill, or other finely cut human grade seafood. Do not feed silversides as there have been many reports of perfectly healthy anemones dying after eating them. How long are the tentacles on the nem and what lighting are you using?

I don't think this is a sebae... I've kept many of them and this doesn't look like any I've kept. Especially when you zoom in on the tentacles. You can see a defined bubble

Plus it has the lines going to the mouth like a standard bubble tip.

I do believe he was sold a bubble tip like the employee said. However he was sold a bleached bubble tip. You need to feed and make sure it is getting plenty of light so it can get it's color back.

Crispa will have the lines around the mouth as well. I don't think thats a bta Ive never saw one bleach just to the tips and them be purple like that. Can the owner get a shot of the foot for us to see? That would tell us in a real hurry what it is.

This was my h. crispa when I first got it:

I still want to call it H. Crispa because of it being white with the purple dotted tips. And I've never saw a bta do that. But I did a google search and couldn't find a Crispa with a pink/red foot like your. I was expecting it to be white like the rest of the nem. Give it a day or two to settle in and give us another pic of it fully open.
