Can a anemone get stuck in a hole in my live rock has not moved or does he just like it there. Yesterday he was wide open today he is half open I may be little paranoid
You have an LTA/M.doreensis, it will prefer to be in a sand bed of at least 3-4", and should have decent lighting and stable params, usually requiring a tank running at least a 6 month period.
Yes if it goes to the sand bed and sets foot that is generally a good sign.
I usually place LTA's near a ledge so it can pull into or out of light as needed, in a moderate but not too heavy flow area.
At this time though I would leave it alone and let it settle where it wants.
He is in a low flow area and dug to the bottom of the tank threw about 4 inches of live sand . Looks tike he sucking the bottom of the tank . So will let him be.ty for the input
