Anemone

Any reason why my bubble tip anemone has shunk up it's been about 1 to 2 weeks now,,,the foot is still holding on to the rock,, my water conditions are spot on
Ph 7.9 little low I know but not a concern
Alk 12 dkh
Cal 420 ppm
Salinity 1.024
Phos 0.3

So does anybody know why

What lighting type?
Are you feeding the Anemone?
Are clowns residing in the Anemone?

Lights I'm using led I did change from MH to LEDs a week ago
Yes I am feeding once a week
And yes I do have a tomato clown living in it or on it lol

I would be very worried about a Ph of 7.9, I like my tanks 8.2-8.4. However I think a more likely cause would be the switchover from MH to LEDs, or perhaps the anemone is too small for your clown and when he hosts it he is actually smothering it to death. Is the nem moving around a lot?

No not inflated,,,it opens up at night when I put the moon lights on but during the day stays closed up and seats behind the rock

Does not move been in same place going on 4 months now

it is possible the new light may be causing the issue and be brighter than it is used too. It may need to be acclimated to the new light.. I would shade it some and see if starts to open...

A anemone or coral will shrink up to absorb less light, It does this by decreasing it surface area.
Under low light conditions a coral or anemone will expand to increase surface area to gather more light.
