So I got a small invert sample pack from an online retailer for my 29g Biocube and one of the hermits I got had this on his shell. I believe it’s an anemone but I have no idea what kind and I was hoping you guys would know. Also what kind of hermit is that with the hitchhiker on his shell? He’s massive and while he hasn’t been aggressive towards my other CUC he does have hairy like legs and one of his pincers is spoon shaped and the other looks dang near like a dagger. Should I keep under observation or remove insider threat now? Thanks in advance

Jason

This is a sump critter large hermit will go after snails and such. Heck small one will go after small snails as well. Sometimes just for the shell. I vote sump it. I’m not sure if the critter on the back. I do think it’s a type of anemone @KJ or @saltyfilmfolks they are really good id

So is the consensus to remove from my display? I have no sump but might be able to find someone who can take it off my hands if necessary

Yep I would. Nice find but not reef safe.
