Hi everyone, I have 1 duncan coral, 2 clowns and a midas blenny. I plan on have softies and lps corals. I would love an anemone in the future, my tank is only 4 months so not ready for one but I'm not sure if it's the right idea for my tank or not as would want to cause issues with the corals but if possible which anemone would be more suited to a new reefer.

One thing to remember.

Nems will do what THEY want to do. Once you add a new, it will own the tank. If it decides to walk, it will walk. If it wants to walk over corals and damage them, it will.

Just something to think of. If you are OK with that, then get a nem at some point down the road.

Not saying all nems will do this. I have a BTA that has been in the same spot for over 5 years and refuses to split. But I have some that split like mad and move no matter what.

RFA/Mini Maxi Carpets typically do not move much when settled, so could be a good option.

LTA, provided you have deep sand and a little cove for them are also ones that may, and I say may, never move.

In reality, hard to tell unless you get one and see.

Just know, all nems can easily be removed when needed, it may take a little time for them to be removed, but it can be done. There is a sticky in the nem/clownfish section that is an easy DIY way to get them to where you can remove them.

RFA's (Rock flower anemone) are easier to tend for, in my opinion, as they move around a lot less than other anemone's.

How big is the tank? I wouldn’t try mixing anything but a rfa with corals in less than a 30.

Mushrooms are technically closer to nems than corals, and most are super easy to keep.

Brilliant, great info thank you......I'll have a wee look at the carpet nems as my worry is the corals.
