Is my anemone okay? All day it’s kind of been swollen at the foot and the tentacles are small. It deflated a few times today as well. More frequently but puffs back up but I haven’t seen it bubble it’s tips like it use to. Don’t mind the cloudiness. I just did water change.

I use the corallife lights.

MAG: 1500
CA: 480
Phos: .03

Picture would help. But I’ve had mine going thru phases like this. It should be fine if that’s the only thing going on. Mine was was like that for a day

I stay at At 78
Okay
And mine reproduce every month
what does it do when it reproduces and what are the symptoms? I don’t know too too much about the anemone. I know they do a thousand things so I’m just not sure what to look out for when it’s doing a certain something. I always think it’s dying lol

Anemones are pretty hardy if you levels are good and lights sufficient. It is obvious if they are in distress. Very large opening in center, loss of foot hold, deteriorating tissue. If you see that prepare to remove

Will keep a good eye on it! Thank you! Thanks crazy how much yours split lol is there a specific reason they do that?

lol right? I just noticed a a bunch of very tiny microscopic white worm like things On the glass? what the heck are these? I put copods in my tank a few times, are these babies? They look like worms but super super tiny ones; white. They’re mostly on the glass. I can’t get a pic of it cause it’s too small

If this was an established anemone tank I think it'd be a different story. It's new and may go through some ugly stages as it adjusts to your system (some lasting days/weeks); expel zooxanthellae even as it adjusts the population. It's hard to tell from a single photo exactly what it's doing but I wouldn't panic...yet... It's still footed...

Keep things stable so it can get to that goal post (so to speak); change too much and it has to keep trying to get to the goal post and that's when they die (imo) because they spent too much energy trying to get settled in and people keep changing things they never can get there...

Full disclosure... I am not an expert :)

I see there’s a Porcelain Crab that’s made the anemone home. I’d actually recommend separating the two as the Crab is likely stressing the anemone out.

I’ve found that symbiotic crabs and shrimps aren’t suitable for smaller anemones (especially before the anemone is established in your system), anything less than 6” would generally cause the anemone to shrink away from the occupying shrimp/crab. Clownfish have also been known to love anemones to death.
