Hey guys and gals will anemones and ricordia live together without killing each other?

I am thinking of adding some RBTA's to my ric tank? My other bta was touching a ric the other day and they both seemed fine.

Thanks.

You should be fine, but there are some concerns of allelopathy and possibly the ocassional stinging but BTAs aren't as bad as other species of anemone.

I am pretty sure they will be ok. I had a RBTA that was next to my ric for several months. The ric didn't like it a lot, it kept moving and leaving a baby trail, but I was ok with that, I just sold the frags. Basically, I would say do it, they both have the ability to move if they dont like it.

So anemones don't always sting other corals when they come in contact with them?

I have had my RBTA expand near my rics with no issues but it has had ill effects on other corals. Good thing is you will have time to move one of them if there is any problem.
