Hi does anyone have a bubble anemone in the same tank with a carpet anemone? tank size is 55gal long.carpet is 15inches plus ,bubble is 12inches plus.

You can keep them together but make sure you're running carbon and try to place them far enough apart. I've had my purple haddoni with my 2 rbtas together for almost a year with no problems.

I wouldn't do it -- tried it about 10 years ago and an existing S. haddoni (( at that point had had it for 5 years, kept it for 15 )), and right when I added an E. quadricolor the S. haddoni started moving all over the place (( was running carbon and skimming )). At the time there were no other changes to the tank. Years later I tried this with a different S. haddoni (( this one was in my care for 1 year when I attempted this )) and an M. doreensis (( LTA )), and the exact same thing happened. To this day I will no longer mix different anemone species -- however I do mix different color morphs of the same species without issue -- with them even touching.

I agree with trex mixing anemones isn't a good idea try to stick with a specific type. Even be careful withlps and nems iPad a torchcoral colony that would try to take out anything within its sweepers range. Good luck

i tried this countless times. the problem in my experience was if one of the moved around, which most likely will be the BTA because they move around more, and seeing that you have 2 big anemones, 55gal (i have a 50) they will eventually cross paths and your bta will most likely die of stings in my experience from carpets or lta stings. either just have all btas or a carpet in my opinion. not worth the experiment i strongly sugest. goodluck

Hi thxs i moved my carpet anemone more to the other side.i cant. Post pic from my phone. but I have pic.

I have 5 bubble tips ranging from 2" to 8". I have a carpet right next to them on the same isolated rock. They are in a 75g and within touching distance from eachother. They touch all the time and nothing is wrong. I keep adding bubbles when ever I see one I like and plan on getting a red carpet when I find a nice one.

Multiple anemone species will do fine with each other. If they touch, sometime they will fight but not always. I keep multiple anemone, different species toughing each other for ears with no problem.
Anemones are difficult to keep. When they are not doing well, reefer tend to invent causes for their anemone's demise. Another anemone in the same tank is an easy target, scapegoat so to speak.
